Under rafters Panelling finish
Application
- Unroll the ATI insulator horizontally under the rafters starting at the top of the roof.
- Staple the ATI insulator on the ridge purlin with a turnback of at least 5 cm.
- Staple the ATI insulator beneath the rafters up to the next purlin without forgetting to make
- a turnback of at least 5 cm on the latter.
- Proceed in the same way form the middle purlin to the lower purlin.
- Join the overlap between each width with aluminium adhesive.
- Fix a frame of brace-laths on the rafters and purlins, to create an air space.
- Fix the panelling on the brace-laths.
Recommandations
- Use 16 mm staples (galvanized or stainless steel).
- Clean the joins with a dry and clean cloth before applying the adhesive.
- Use an adhesive especially adapted to the insulation (aluminium adhesive of 75 mm or
- polyester adhesive of 100 mm).
- Respect the ventilation (inert-air space between the ATI insulator and the panelling).
- To avoid thermal bridges, fix a brace-lath on the lower purlin and the middle purlins.
- The dimensions of the brace-laths have to be in accordance with the thickness of the insulation,
- to preserve a sufficient air space between the ATI insulator and the panelling.
Under rafters - Plasterboard finish
1st case : with cutting in insulation
Application
- Fix the suspension posts on the rafters.
- Unroll the ATI insulator horizontally under the rafters starting at the top of the roof.
- Slit the ATI insulatorwith a craft knife to allow each suspension post to pass through.
- Close again the cutting with the ATI adhesive.
- Staple the ATI insulator on the ridge purlin with a turnback of at least 5cm.
- Staple the ATI insulator beneath the rafters up to the next purlin without forgetting to make
- a turnback of at least 5cm on the latter.
- Proceed in the same way from the middle purlin to the lower purlin.
- Join the overlap between each width with aluminium adhesive.
- Fit the metallic rails onto the suspension posts.
- Screw the plasterboard onto the metallic rails.
Recommandations
- Use 16mm staples (galvanized or stainless steel).
- Clean the joins with a dry and clean cloth before applying the adhesive.
- Use an adhesive especially adapted at the insulation (aluminium adhesive of 75mm or
- polyester adhesive of 100mm).
- To avoid thermal bridges, fix a brace-lath on the lower purlin and the middle purlins.
2nd case : without cutting in insultation
Application
- Unroll the ATI insulator horizontally under the rafters starting at the top of the roof.
- Staple the ATI insulator on the ridge purlin with a turnback of at least 5cm.
- Staple the ATI insulator beneath the rafters up to the next purlin without forgetting to make a turnback of at least 5cm on the latter.
- Join the overlap between each width with aluminium adhesive.
- Fit the semi-rafters 60 x 40 on the rafters.
- Screw the suspension posts on the semi-rafters.
- Fit the metallic rails onto the suspension posts.
- Screw the plasterboard onto the metallic rails.
Recommandations
- Use 16mm staples (galvanized or stainless steel).
- Clean the joins with a dry and clean cloth before applying the adhesive.
- Use an adhesive especially adapted to the insulation (aluminium adhesive of 75mm or polyester adhesive of 100mm).
- To avoid thermal bridges, fix a brace-lath on the lower purlin and the middle purlins.
